Located 2.5 hours from Brisbane and boasting stunningly restored heritage buildings, towering palms and ancient figs, both the grounds and the residence itself are national treasures and the most idyllic place to host your wedding or private event. Jimbour is one of the most unique spaces that we have to offer and will provide a timeless experience no matter the occasion. Rich in both heritage and unique spaces, you may choose any of the following spaces for your event…

The Drawing Room 

Nestled in the heart of Jimbour House itself, dine under the twinkling crystal chandelier or nestled next to the roaring open fireplace, framed by billows of natural light coming through the windows of the adjoining Eastern verandah.  The Drawing Room can cater for up to 40 guests seated or 70 guests stand-up. The drawing room offers sumptuous luxury with tasteful colonial glamour, a truly transportive space to host an unforgettable event.

The Chapel

In the Western grounds is the chapel constructed in 1868. Jimbour’s non-denominational chapel has 10 pews that can seat 50 guests, with standing room at the rear for another 35.  The chapel houses its own organ and sound system and is the most perfect place for intimate ceremonies.

The Grand Fig Tree

Jimbour’s 200 year old Moreton Bay fig tree towers over the plush manicured grounds providing the most stunning photo opportunity. Alternatively, the space under the fig tree can be activated to seat 120 guests in a curved seating arrangement providing a true fairy tale event.

The Deborah Russell Courtyard 

A magnificent garden venue with Jimbour House as the backdrop, the courtyard boasts its own water feature, plush lawns and an in-built outdoor sound system. A perfect setting for a chic cocktail soirée or an elaborate lawn lunch, this unique space can cater for 140 seated guests or up to 300 stand-up.

The Jacaranda Drive 

Magical and evocative, setting the tone for yours and your guests visit to Jimbour . This outdoor space, providing lilac hues throughout spring, shade in the summer and a burst of gold in the winter, this area can cater for 260 guests seated or 400 people stand-up cocktail style.

The Hangar

Offering something for larger events where rustic-chic is surrounded by colonial opulence, the hangar is the perfect all-weather space to accommodate 160 people sit-down or up to 300 cocktail stand-up.
